Default Software to convert MOV

Hi everyone,
we all know that PT only supports MOV format,
I am now using the 'mpeg streamclip' to convert video files into MOV.
I don't thin that is a good software, can anyone suggest other softwares for me?

Quick Time Pro does the job quite well.

Hi,

my PT6.4 also runs anything QT can run, if you install the official divx codec into QT,
you should be able to work with avi, too.
But I did not use PT to EXPORT the whole thing.
Usually I use D-Vision to mux the data.

I recently synched a movie that ws NOT a .mov file.

Go to google, type in wmv to mov converter, avi to mov converter... ANY-FILE-TYPE-HERE to mov converter.

There's quite a few for free! I have several because I plan on making a small business using any format I choose

Tons of stuff here: http://www.videohelp.com/

A tip: you may think that by compressing a video file and therefore saving drive space you are also making it easier for the PC to process the video later because there's less stuff to read. Not so. It is in fact the larger files with the least compression that offer the samllest load to the processor and leave more resources free for PT. All the processor has to do with a raw image file (for instance) is to display it. By contrast, s small highly compressed video file generally means more work for the processor to de-compress it on the fly.
