S5MC disconnecting from PT
Hi all,
we have had a couple of bad days with a client who insists on working with PT 9. The S5-MC kept disconnecting, making everyone lose an enormous amount of time. This is the setup: - S5MC running Eucon 3.1.2 (works fine with Nuendo 5.5 and 6.5 on Win7 64) - PT 9, on Mac OS 10.6 (special boot for this client) Initially installed Eucon 3.1.2 on the Mac, then tried to roll back to 2.7 (except that it wont connect to the S5MC running 3.1.2), and last tried 3.0. Problems remain. Any ideas? |

We just upgraded to ML on the PT rig, and still get the disconnects. |

Hi Steven,
Are you running 3.1.2 on the PT machine? What is the priority of your network connections? If the PT machine does not need an external WAN connection, try making the EUCON connection first in the priority list (this may prevent external WAN traffic). Are you using WiFi? - try switching that off Have you disabled the firewall on the Mac? |

Hi H.G.,
yes we are now running 3.1.2 on Mountain Lion, and still get the disconnects. The Eucon network adapter on the Mac is set to first, and no wifi is used. I'll check tomorrow to see about the firewall, but as we never enable them on our work machines I doubt it will be enabled on this one. |

Ok so we have narrowed it down to this client using QuickKeys to jump from ProTools to Excel. It seems that this freezes the MC pro after a while.

I have disconnecting issues and not running quickkeys. Keep me posted if problems persist
