How many people here actually like or use Xpand!2? I’m still trying to wrap my head around to see if I should invest my time into building patches on top of patches with this virtual instrument and stretch the max out of it, or maybe go another Rompler or Sampler route.

Love it.I need a VI that gives many different sounds to put a song together. Bought the version I can also use in DP. Great sounds.

What else do you own in terms of Romplers or Samplers?

I like it... But only for certain applications.
The interface is frustrating with all of the dropdown menus, but I like to layer the Rhodes and CP80 electric pianos together. It's a nice combination.

Never used it and never will !

Don't waste ypur time on this as you might be able to sell a few hundreds of patches but even that will take more time than worth IMHO of course

Like almost all VI's, you need to explore it and see for yourself. I have plenty of options, and I still find uses for Xpand

I’m just not sure if I should invest my time into this VI. I’ve always been the type to work with what I have, so it was a thought that itched my head. I will admit and I’m probably going to get hate for this, but some of the sounds from Xpand sounds “cheesy”. Even when it’s multi-layered and effects inserted on the channel. Maybe my ears been spoiled by soft samplers. Time to go back to EXS24 maybe.

It all depends, I will use it as I'm trying to flush out the arrangement of a new project

It is quick and easy, which usually works good. Even if I replace it later or work on the patch further

I use it sometimes and it sounds nice for a lot of applications, but it can be a little frustrating trying to fish through all the patches for the right sound. More is better I guess!
