Default Sources Connected to Inputs, but No Sound

I am brand new to Pro Tools and Mac. Instruments and mic cables plugged into back of Digi 02 workstation, but no sound through monitors or headphones. Nothing. The meters on the computer screen not registering either. Running Pro Tools 6.1 with Digi 002 workstation, Mac Dual 1.25GHZ/120GB HD Superdrive, OS X 10.2.6.

Hi,

are you sure that the inputs for each tracks are properly set?

Did you set your Mac sound input to none?

Also make sure that the Digidesign and OMS extensions are active.

Hope this helps and let us know

Ben

Do you have tracks created in Pro Tools and, if they're Audio tracks, do you have them record enabled (this is required on an audio track to hear and see input.). If you only want to monitor the inputs, use Aux Input tracks. Make sure to select the proper input on the input tab for the track.

Don't worry about the above post - there are no extensions or OMS in OSX...

it is also helpful to not have the monitor level knob at zero. i found out just yesterday that it also seems to affect outputs 1-2. though i might have plugged cords to mirrored monitor outputs in a hurry, but i don't think so.

just check if turning the monitor level helps you out.

Just one more thing.

I've noticed that my 002 sometimes doesn't pass audio when you create a new track until you touch the fader. Unlikely to be this particular problem (you'd waggle everthing wouldn't you?) but has anyone else had this one?
