Default Negative latency?

I'm having some issues with latency... I own an Mbox 2 with PTLE 8.0.4 running on a Windows 7x64 laptop. The thing is that when I record something from the audio inputs, I hear very little latency, but when I play back the recording, I notice it was recorded a few (like 23) miliseconds before it was supposed to. Does someone knows how to fix this wrong latency compensation?

Negative latency ?

Wich Mbox2 do you have (Pro(Firewire) or USB) ?

Have you tried lowering the hardware buffer size under Setup-> Playback Engine ?

Well actually, i do notice that once i hit space bar and stop recording, some tracks will nudge to the right a bit. Maybe we do have ADC after all? ;D

I have the Mbox 2, and if I lower the buffer size, it gives me an error saying that the audio device buffer underflowed...

I'm having the exact same issue. It's really annoying having to nudge everything you record to get it just right...

Yes, I noticed the same. I believe PTLE has always done this sort of automatic compensation. The problem now is that after installing 8.0.4, something happened and it's not calculating it right.

Very annoying.

I found a temporal way to solve it: In stead of recording to the track directly, I open an Aux track so that it recives the audio from my keyboard, and then I route it to the track I want to record in via the bus 1-2.
BTW I have no problems with MIDI, it's just with audio.
