Default OT: Pluggo No Go-Go

OK, I did everything it said in this thread but all I get when I try to put a plug-in on a track is the Spinning Beachball of Death, and I have to Force Quit Pro Tools.

Help.

Which version of PLUGGO are you using,,
If your using the boxed version then make sure you have the latest version,, i think it's up to 3.2 now,,
Also,, what PLUGGO are you trying to use,, some of the free ones need MAX externals to run and this could be coursing you problems,, also not all of the free PLUGGO's are OSX compatible,,

OK, I installed Runtime and the Gleetchplugs OS X bundle. They show up as plug-ins, with the word "build" beside them, but don't show up in AudioSuite.

Hi, the free Pluggos (like the Gleetchplug ones) will only show up as inserts, not in Audiosuite.
Not sure about the professional Pluggos as I don't have it.

I believe there is a way of converting an RTAS pluggo so that it will also show in the Audiosuite menu,, it may not work when it gets there,, but i am almost curtain it can be done,,
Maybe you could drop an email to C'74 and then post back here,,

Thank you everybody, but the plugs don't run. Any ideas there?

Can't really say - I know that Cosmo seems to have problems on some systems, but i've never had troubles with any of the other Gleetchplugs. Have you tried any other Pluggos, just to see if the problem is the Gleetchplugs or your Runtime installation ?

Hey, I'm glad you saw this and posted! No, I haven't, but I do have a question about Plugmaker: even though it says Gleetchplug Bundle for OS X, do I still have to drag the plugs onto Plugmaker (which, by the way, wasn't included in this download, so I have to do it again)?

Also, I'm still running Jaguar - is this a problem?

Ok, not sure about Jaguar - I started OSX on Panther - but I don't think that should be a problem.
You also shouldn't have to drag OSX pluggos onto Plugmaker - only OS9 ones, some of which will convert and some won't. The Gleetchplugs are definitely OSX.
I recommend you grab some other pluggos, like jk's ones : http://www.sonoria.pl/jk/pluggox.html , and see if they're working. Then you'll know if your Pluggo Runtime installation was OK.

Simon

Right! It was Cosmo! I downloaded jk-limo and bacon, and they're OK (they take a while to appear in the insert!).

Thanks again.
