Default Looking for a good electric bass VI

I record/play hard rock and classic rock but I don't have a bass guitar and was looking for some recommendations for a good bass virtual instrument.

Scarbee basses and East Wests Trilian both have their fans. I think Scarbee may require you to have Kontact. Either plug should cover your sonic territory.

The two best I've used (I've tried a lot of them) are Scarbee and Trilian. Scarbee has the edge for realism (in most cases) and Trillian has the edge for variety of sounds.

I've been working lately with a guitar player that thinks he also plays bass... I've been using Trilian a LOT!

I record him and send him home, when he comes back he's always amazed and pleased by what I do with his playing..

In the name of live music preservation, buy a bass and learn to play it! It's not that hard! You'll impress your friends and you will like yourself for it! I recomend the Fender Precision. The basic model is inexpensive and sounds great.(Fender basses have always been the trade standard. Just notice how many pros you see playing them. (Disclaimer) I don't work for Fender!

Yeah its not! It's a Bass.

Strictly my opinion but it not that most guitarist lack the skills to play bass. It's that they can't switch into that particular headspace easily . It's a different mind set. Or at least I have trouble doing it and I'm a dandy rhythm guitar player so its not like I have issues locking into the drummer or working the pocket. The best bassists I have meet don't play very good guitar either FWIW. Two different instruments.

Or

Just because I can tap my foot doesn't mean I'm a drummer

Having said that I am trying to become better at playing Bass
