Default New to sampletank

I must be missing something stupid.

I installed sampletank free. Downloaded the sounds and put them in the correct folder.

There is no refernece in pro tools to sampletank! What do I need to do?

1. Start a session in Pro Tools.
2. Create a new blank Stereo AUX channel (LE) or Stereo Audio Channel(Mix & HD).
3. Load Sampletank as an insert on the aux/audio channel.
4. Once the Sampletank interface comes up click on the Root button. Now go to the main Mac hard drive, then IK Multimedia then open it.
Now click ONCE on Sampletank Instruments then click Choose.
5. Now load a sound by double clicking on the name of the sound in the ST interface.
6. Now make a new midi track, then go to the output of the Midi track and output it to the sound or sampletank channel that comes up.

Thats it.

I have Sampletank Free installed and authorized it and it's showing in the multi-channel plug-in. I selected it as an insert. In the midi track I selected Sampletank Channel 1. I can see the signal in the aux input track but cannot hear any sound. What am I doing wrong?

You need to load a sound, and maybe you have to point sampletank to the sounds first.

I have the Room Small sound loaded in Sampletank. I'm not sure what you mean by point. I can see a signal in both the midi track and the aux input track. The volume is up on the aux track, but still no sound.

Ok, I think I know what you meant by point. I do have sampletank pointing to the sampletank instruments list on my hard drive. I loaded one of the free sounds. I have a stereo aux track and it is showing the it's receiving a signal. Both the red and green lights are on in the sampletank to midi channel 1. The only thing that was suggested that I'm not sure how to do is to turn off the low latency monitor. Where do I go to do that?

MW,

If you get a audio signal on the aux track the Low latency M is already turned off, you can find it under Operations.

maybe very very stupid and basic...but have you opened the fader of the aux-track? And i think you need to assign an input to it (doesnt matter wich one), and you need to assign it to your output )probably 1&2)...
