Why is PT8 doing this?

OK...so I've got my session playing...and I want to click in a region so that when I stop, the song will start from there.

BUT INSTEAD...

When I click anywhere, the song IMMEDIATELY starts playing from there. Great for jumping around a song fast, but annoying when that's not what I want to do...

I'm sure I have some Preference wrong.

Any ideas? I can't find the answer...

Hey Johnnyv,

I had this happen to me about a month ago and I couldn't figure it out either. Maybe someone will know. I just ended up trashing my prefs and restarting my rig. Not really the best answer but a quick way around the issue. Best wishes!

It sounds like you have Dynamic Transport mode enabled.

You can enable/disable it via the Operations menu or by right-clicking on the play button.
