Default Video engine possible fix

It wasn't much of an issue waiting for PT to connect to the video but I went into System Preferences, iCloud, iCloud Drive, clicked on options and turned off "QuickTime Player.app" and BAM! - Video loads instantly in all my sessions.

Hope this helps some of you out.

Thanks for this Ron. Maybe I am daft but, "settings"? Where are settings? I looked both in PT and in the finder.

Thanks.

So sorry my error. Start with "System Preferences" and then iCloud etc...

Are you talking about the "Connecting to Avid Video Engine" issue? An Avid employee once told me, the time it needs to connect, had to do with the size of the volumes attached. So there might actually be a link to using iCloud or not.

Yes. This resolved that issue for me. No pause whatsoever....and it really wasn't a problem waiting a few seconds regardless.
