Default PT 11.3 Open OMF 2 from Premiere

I am trying to master sound for video in Pro Tools 11.3.0.327 by opening an OMF2 from Premiere... The editor exported an embedded only the boom track to test ( OMF file is less than 1 gig).

I have the files (.wav) showing in the region list but nothing in the timeline, no regions at all? What am I missing here?

I solved the issue by importing the playlists.

The only way I can get sound out of Premiere for PT is to open the OMF exported from Premiere in Audition and then re-export the OMF from there. Maybe they fixed some things in Premiere?

I've recently tested OMF's from Premiere CC, both Embedded and Separate Audio. The Embedded worked just fine. The Separate Audio required me to go and manually relink all of the files, and I had to search by file name only or the candidates wouldn't be found.

This is PT 11.3 on Mavs 10.9.5.

What did you see in PT 11 when the straight import of the OMF from PP failed?
I've been able to import PP OMFs ok into PT10 vanilla.

The only thing I can add is that, when it comes to omf exports from FCP, PT11 has been a disaster here. Same as the OP, missing clips on the timeline. Not all clips but some. We haven't figured out why some but not others. PT10.3.5 imported everything that was included. 11.2.x? has imported incomplete timelines on a couple of efforts.

PT11 is crap for omf's. Our experience with aaf's has been opposite. PT10.3.5/8 has been unreliable with aaf's (missing clips at 23.976 mixed bit depth), while PT11 has apparently retrieved everything.

I don't trust either one for anything, which is why I am so glad I have a support plan to fall back upon.
