Default Video engine failed to initialize on HD 7.3.1

Hi to all!

I upgraded from HD 7.1 with Avid Mojo and Media Station|PT 1.8.1(and it worked fine) to 7.3.1(cs3 update). When I start Pro Tools, after processing to upgrade the Mojo firmwere,a message appears<Program Baseboard Firmware failed> ,the next is <You must now quit the application and powercycle your video hardware.> and PT quits. The next time I start PT it happens the same.I tryed to reinstall PT-same thing...
What I did wrong?

Alex

You need to uninstall MediaStation before upgrading because it's not compatible with Pro Tools 7.3.x...

Kim.

Thanks Kim.
Yes I did uninstall Media station.
I even did a reinstallation of the "Windows XP" yesterday, but nothing has changed...

There could be something wrong with your Mojo hardware. If there's another Pro Tools or Avid Xpress Pro setup near you, you could test to see if that's the case.

Also, 7.3.1cs3 has a faulty Avid driver. (That's why it has been removed from downloads.)
You can fix that by using the driver from cs1/cs2:
a) Install 7.3 or 7.3.1
b) Update to 7.3.1cs1 or cs2
c) Copy C:\Program Files\Digidesign\Pro Tools\Firebob.dll to your desktop
d) Update to 7.3.1cs3
e) Copy (overwrite) Firebob.dll from desktop to C:\Program Files\Digidesign\Pro Tools\

Hope this helps,

Kim
