Audio during playback constantly cuts out

I'm experiencing a problem during playback. I've recorded a drum machine track, then a guitar track. When playing back, both tracks just cut out. The song keep progressing, but without sound. The waveforms are there. Oddly, the drum track meters during this silence are in motion, but the guitar tracks are not. If I stop playback, and then start it, usually both tracks come back on, but not for long.

I think this problem may be happening in the same spots within the song each time playback is attempted. Recording does not seem to suffer from these interruptions. I recorded these tracks, a new session, just two days ago. Playback was working fine - for a while at least.

This is not the first time this has happened, it seemed quite intermittent so I tolerated it, but now it happens every time I try to playback. So, I can't continue with the session.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I deleted the only two plug-ins I was using (Q10 and LA-2A) and now everything seems fine.

Still, I don't know why the plug-ins would have caused this problem.

Ah yes. The ol' plugin cuttin' out thing. Some demos cut after two minutes or so. I think waves is one of them.

That may be putney, but for years I've been a registered user of a Waves bundle. Also, other sessions, with these same plug-ins, do not seem to exhibit the problem.

It must have been something I did during this particular session that caused a problem. Wish I knew what it was.
