Default Midi doesn\'t quantize before bar 1

Hi,

I just noticed that you cant quantize midi properly if it's before bar 1. All the notes just move to the wrong spot. It's no major problem as you can just move bar 1 earlier and your all good, but it 's a bit annoying....

It happens on a HD2 rig and a 003 rack both running on macpro 2.66's. both running latest versions of pro tools.

has anyone seen or got a fix for this?

Cheers

Sam

Hi,

Have you got "input quantize" selected?
Are you using real-time midi quantize? or normal region quantize?

If you're using real-time midi quantize! then this will leave the midi notes in their actual played position and will make it difficult to move regions around on the fixed grid!!

"Input quantize" set to 16's works well for me on quantized music? obviously not if your music is not tightly quantised, I.E. a live band recording etc. qnatization can be changed after its played!! so any input quantize is the best option for speed.
