major frustrations with Axiom Pro 25

Having major drama with brand new Axiom pro 25 with PTLE 8.0.4 and an macpro with OS X 10.6.4. After I have protools open for a short while, my mute button (F4) no longer mutes the selected track but solos it instead. The track select buttons (F2 and F3) also stop working. I've factory reset the controller a number of times and I'm using the Pro Tools preset (#2).

If i switch presets while a session is open, then none of the buttons work any longer. Sometimes it starts working again, usually not.
Resetting to factory settings doesn't help, rebooting pro tools sometimes helps, (mostly doesn't). Sometimes the axiom seems to freeze, sometimes the screen becomes scrambled, yet some functions (eg transport) continue to work.

Tried different USB ports.

In short, almost unusable. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed with this unit!

Then, I found a link on the DUC to HyperControl personality for Pro Tools 8.0.4, followed the link to a closed thread "REJECTED: Axiom Pro HyperControl for Pro Tools 8.0.4"

what now?

PS tried to register on the M-Audio forum so I could post there, but did not receive registration info. My very first M-audio experience is not a happy one!

Anyone interested in buying this brand new controller??

ok, good news: was sent PT hypercontrol OSX for 8.0.4 by avid/M audio, & it appears to have solved all problems!

You have to wait for the AxiomPro fixes in PT9. Like me...
