which platform?
I'm sorry, you probably get this question all the time, but which platform would you recommend for the following applications:
Pro Tools v6.9 Mbox (old one, or vintage as I like to call it!) Use: Just general small acoustic recordings. I have the opportunity to select between the following machines: Apple MacBook Pro (i5 MC700X/A) or Dell Latitude E6520 Which would be the best to suit my situation? Thank you for your time and consideration. Jamie |

Re: which platform?
You won't be able to use the Macbook Pro. The minimum version of PT that snow leopard supports is PT8.0.3. The last version of PT to support the original Mbox is PT8.0.1.

Re: which platform?
And the Dell is a total crapshoot on compatibility(plus you will need Windows XP as Windows 7 is not going to work). Either way, you will need an approved firewire external drive(which needs an approved firewire port on the computer).
