Default Problem w/ my bounce! HELP!

I'm not that experienced yet w/ PT and I just bounced a 24bit/44.1 session down as an Aiff. But when I play it back in Peak (I can't get iTunes to even play it), it's nothing but harsh static and I can barely hear that the vocals are slow sounding. What could i have done wrong... and please god tell me it can be fixed. I even tried to bounce it as an SDII. Nothing I have done so far works. I'll worry about Dithering it down later.

Thanks!

FYI, I'm using 5.2.1 here at home. When I post asking/talking about PT6, it's only because the guy I jam with has it, not me here at home.

I had the digi dither plug in active over a master fader and it was set to 16bits I thought. I took it out and rebounced, and it didn't make a diff. I then selected 16bits on my bounce option screen, not 24, and the file works now. Can someone tell me what I need to do to properly bounce this 24/44.1 file???

Thanks.

Jason

In order for i tunes and CD players to be able to read the CD it has to be 44.1 and 16 bit. When you chose 16 bit in the bounce down section, you answered your own question. That's how it's done.

Ok cool. But in the grand scheme of "dithering", that's not what I'm "supposed" to do is it?? I'm gonna post a question on this "Why Dither?" thread I started.

Thanks.
