Default 002 Alternative

For those you think the 002 looks like a toy, take a look at the alternative:

http://namm.harmony-central.com/SNAM...ckage-Pro.html

Now that thing looks like a POS. And to think it works with Logic. I need that like I need a bullet in the head.

(Sorry, I'm still pissed about getting screwed by Emapple)

If it weren't for EmApple I would have never found the AKAI Z8. There's a silver lining, for what it's worth...

I thought Roland's controller looked okay (I especially like the fact that it has a surround panning joystick...), but I do see a couple of flaws:

First of all... "runs on a special version of Logic"... for mac and pc... Uh, didn't anyone tell the good folks at Roland about EmApple?

And secondly... it only records a maximum of 8 tracks at one, with a upper limit of only 24 tracks.

it -looks- good, but doesn't compare to the 002 really.

Except for the SUROUND PAN!!!!!

I bet Roland is rather ticked about the whole MacLogic thing.

After reading my original post, I think I could have chosen better words. I really like the look of the 002. The Roland doesn't look all that bad, but I would much rather have the 002 sitting in my studio.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Probably about $2000, I think the roland looks like $***, sorry but it looks like a little toy with all those ugly plasticky buttons.

The only thing that REALLY bothers me about the 002 is the trapezoid shape. If it was square like the pro control, and you could add on extra units per your mixing needs, I would have pre ordered one alread. I really like the way the faders look. Hope they feel right.
