Kontakt 7.6.1 and AAE-9173

There seems to be issue with Kontakt 7.6.1 (AAE-9173 errors). Other users in NI Forum are reporting same kind of problems. Be aware this, before updating Kontakt.
Some users have changed back to 7.0.11 without hitches. I asked NI to give us access to that version.

Users on vi-control.com are freaking out about it, too. All formats, not just AAX. Some users have been sharing the individual plug-ins of 7.6, which seems to fix the problem. NI seems to know. How it got through beta is surprising.

I've been seeing 9173 errors for the past day and it's driving me nuts! None of the usual remedies are fixing it. I did update Kontakt and wondering if that could be the culprit.

So how do we get the previous version, pre-7.6.1?

Welp... sure enough, inactivating Kontakt did the trick. Let's hope for a quick repair from NI.

What's odd is that PT functioned fine for days after the Kontakt update, then suddenly the errors started, and then they wouldn't stop. I wonder what triggered the issue since it didn't occur from day 1.

As a temporary fix, you can go to your backup drive (you have a backup drive RIGHT?) and grab the previous 7.6 AAX plugin and place that into your PT plugin folder, overwriting 7.6.1. This has alleviated the lockups so far and Kontakt seems to function normally.

Edit: users are still getting cpu-spikes in this 7.6.0, but not so often. I can
work a few hours. Then I have to change buffer-size or restart PT.

I've not had a single issue since reverting back to 7.6. I'm very curious to find out what's at the root of this; why some have never had an issue, why some are having problems w/ 7.6.0, and why the CPU spikes don't always start right after installation.

I'm starting to wonder if the IAC bus isn't somehow involved. I did some poking around with Audio MIDI Setup and that's about the time the first spikes began.

Same!! Don't use Kontakt 7.6.1 if you need Kontakt, use the 7.6.0 version. Also, don't use Komplete Kontrol 3.0 if you need Komplete Kontrol, use v2.9.4

The latest updates are only causing cpu spikes (and headaches )
