Other DAWs...
High;
We all know that Pro Tools sounds great. What (if anything) does anybody have to say about the digital audio multi-trackers like the Akai DPS12i or the Yamaha 4416? How do they stack up compared to Pro Tools? JPW |

Re: Other DAWs...
Hi
I have a Korg D16 which I use for location recording. The 24-bit recordings seem to be as good as the Digi 001. However the editing facilities are very difficult to use and quite crude. I transfer the recording using the SPDIF connection into a Pro Tools session on the Mac for all editing etc. The D16 is the smallest and lightest of the 16-track HD multitrackers which is the main reason why I bought it (as opposed to other makes, models). Unfortunately it has been replaced by the larger and heavier D1600. |
