Eleven Rack UI in 12?

Did anyone catch if the eleven rack will have a tweakable UI for 12 as it does in 10? I like 11, but having the standalone GUI running causes instability in-session, and being constantly reminded that AVID has never addressed the communication error with the 11 rack is frustrating. Avid went a whole version without fixing this pop-up error screen.

There is also an issue with sample rate and communication with 11R ...I get frequent crashes and errors when a session is 48k versus 44.1k ...but that never happens in PT10

The pop up screen mean you have had the 11r running on 2 or more different USB ports. Do a complete driver uninstall and reinstall and it will go away until you move it to another port. There is a couple other ways to resolve this as well including inside PT or an app that will let you address your USB port drivers.

Avid have not announced an EOL for the rack so it will be fine.

Not sure what instability the gui has caused. I have not had those problems with it.

Is there a mac vs pc imlementation difference that might explain your different experiences?

Using USB3 ports can be problematic. Any sort of sleep or hibernation is an issue as the drivers to the 11r never fully "wake".

What are the problems?? Never knew of any performance issues with the UI.

If you move the rack to another USB port, it will install the driver to that port as well. Then you will get a nag window ehen you launch that it "lost communication" with the other eleven rack.

Or if you uninstall the driver and re-install it. The uninstall does not clear out Device Manager and there will be a hidden "Eleven Rack" entry that PT10 ignores, but PT11 picks up.
