Default Second Interface Not Recognized

Added a second 888/24 to TDM system on a Mac 9600/300 with a D24 and 1-Farm Card.

Connected new 888/24 to the Farm Card, with sync cable to existing 888/24 already connected to the D24.

The second 888/24 does not show up in the Hardware or I/O Setups.

It is regognized OK when connected to the D24 just by itself.

Any ideas?

Add it in the playback engine window.

Make sure you've trashed the DigiSetup prefs file (System Folder > Preferences) & restarted, or new hardware configurations won't be acknowledged. The next time you launch PT you'll get a dialog box asking you to describe your hardware setup.

Warmest Regards,
Brian

You know, I've heard this recommended before when changing your hardware setups, but I never have to trash the prefs before changing the hardware setup. I think it just makes things easier because you can't launch pro tools without configuring the hardware, but I don't think it's necessary.

The easy way to get to change your hardware is hold down the N key when you start Pro Tools. You don't have to trash your prefs to force it.
