CHIPSET Q. NEED HELP ASAP!!!

Hey everyone, im in process of buying a new copmputer...

Here is the setup and tell m what you guys think.
CPU: Intel® Core™2 Quad Q6600 8MB L2 2.40GHz 1066MHz FSB
MainBoard: GA-P35-DS3L - this is the new chipset
RAM: 4GB DDR-2 RAM (Corsair 800MHz Dual Channel - Matched Pair)
Video:Nvidia GeForce 8600GT PCI-E 256MB GDDR3 Dual DVI-I D-Sub HDTV TV-OUT

I am a little conserned with the mother board. It is a P35 CHIPSET... I wanted the Intel motherboard P75x chipset but they are out.... Is it ok to go with this motherboard and setup or will it cause me problems...

Sounds like a powerful computer. However, I would check with Digi's compatibility documents and with the folks in the Pro Tools for Windows LE section.

Check out the Core2 Systems Spec page and the "Core 2 Duo...Any one got one working yet " thread lots of good info between the 2 threads. The Gigabyte stuff has a incompatibility with Samsung SATA 2 drives. We are all mostly using ASUS boards with the P35 chipset. Check out both threads before you buy anything. Also this is the TDM forum so just stop by the Core 2 Duo thread and pose your questions and we will set you up. P35 is not Digi qualified but thanneither is the QX6600. They are working with PT (as well as anything works with PT)
