"Vintage" Protools, error "line 1351"

Hi all,
I've got a vintage Mac laptop (OS 10.8.5) which once ran PT 10 flawlessly with an MBox 3. Then for a while I used it with an 8-ch Focusrite interface, but now it doesn't work with the MBox anymore. It loads protools fine, but then has an error message saying,

[Could not create a new document because assertion in "/Volumes/Development/135986/AlturaPorts/DFW/MacBuild/..Views/UMenu.MacOS.mm", line 1351.]

Any ideas? Thanks!
