Digi 001/MOTU 2408 Mk2...

I've just bought a MOTU 2408Mk2 and am having difficulty setting it up. I want to run eight individual outs from my MPC into the MOTU and then from the MOTU into the 001 pci using an ADAT lightpipe cable.

Help me please.

Where exactly are you having difficulties ?
Should be a simple configuration..
How is everything hooked up ?
What is the clock setting on the MOTU, and in PT ?

Basically got eight 1/4" jack cables going from my MPC into the MOTU. I've then got a lightpipe going from the MOTU into the 001 pci. In the Pro Tools session I've got the input of a track set to ADAT 1 and a MIDI track triggering the MPC. I've got the lightpipe coming out of ADAT 3 and I have set it on the front of the interface accordingly. It might be that I havn't set the clock correctly and that is where I'm getting confused.

If you have signal going from MPC>MOTU on all 8 channels, than the bank's optical OUT should connect to the PCI cards ADAT IN. This is the one with NO red light inside..
PT clock should set to external, ADAT optical in. MOTU is on internal, of course.
Sample rates MUST match between the MOTU setting and the PT session.
In the session you'll need to set your inputs to whatever you have named the ADAT 1-8 ins in the IO setup...
