OO1 input calibration trouble
I was doing a transfer from two-inch into a client's 001 but despite changing the input gain in the Hardware Setup screen, I couldn't get the input from tape to stop clipping like mad. How does one calibrate a 001 like an 888/24?
Finally, I got my TDM system in and did the transfer into PT Mix without a hitch. Not having used a 001 before, what was I missing? I was setting the inputs to (+4 dBu) and was patching directly out of the tape machine. For some reason, no matter where I set the inputs, I felt like I was getting the same gain... Ideas? |
