Default hd cannot be designated as an audio record volume because it is not a valid audio

hd cannot be designated as an audio record volume because it is not a valid audio on volume and my hdd is set to basic

9 out of ten times this is because the drive is a USB drive....

I'm assuming that the 1TB drive is the system drive. What are you using for the session drive?

Just a guess, but you more than likely formated the drive as a dynamic disk, not a basic one.
It must be a basic. Dynamic partitions will cause this error.

when i tried to change it, it said that the hdd is already basic that's what puzzles me
