Adding extra MIDI to PT LE
I have a 001, and I was wondering if it is possible to add an additional MIDI interface to my Pro Tools system to extend the MIDI I/O. The 001 only has one MIDI I/O, and I want to get a second synth, as well as a drum machine. Would one of those USB interfaces work with the 001? Thanks.

Re: Adding extra MIDI to PT LE
Yes a Midi interface on the USB port works great. Cheap solution is a 4 in & 4 out with a USB connection to the active USB port like a Roland MPU64. This will give you 5 in/out midi devices you can connect.

I'm not too sure about this as I use a Motor Mix on the Digi midi ports. All my midi devices (4) are on the Roland Super MPU64. Nick |

Re: Adding extra MIDI to PT LE
If you are willing to spend the extra money, the MOTU MTPAV USB ($500) is the best in my opinion. It works wonderfully on the Mac and the PC. It has so many features you will find yourself using it all the time. I have two networked on my TDM system and I wouldn't give them up for anything else.
