Default Reasons to upgrade from 10 to !!?

I tried to find threads about reasons to upgrade but no luck SO...

What are the reasons to upgrade from Protools 10 to Protools 11
Im not a power user by any means..
still using an 11 rack and an old 002 rack..on a 2011 mac mini 2.0 quad processor
I remember something about MORE POWER :)
seriously though..

Are there more and better different plug processing options?
what am I missing out on?
Don't care about subscribing to 12 right now ;(
by the way..my pt 10 isn't going to vaporize if I don't upgrade to 12 right? :)

thanks for your time in advance!

As I understand, PT11 is 64 Bit and, as such, can address more RAM. One of the main benefits of this is with sample based VI's. If you use them in any significant way, then you may see better performance from v11.

PT11 appears to have about 2.5 times the processing capacity. I saw sessions drop from 70% usage on PT10 to 25% usage on PT11.

Better CPU allocation is definitely nice, but offline bounce is the big one right?

For me, PT11 has been a great move up. Waaaaay more power for plugins and VI's. Off-line bounce saves me a lot of time. Stability has been somewhat better(not perfect, but the minor issues I have may well be my own fault) As for PT12.......still on the fence. Doing some trials with it, but my daily working setup is 11(I use a separate system drive for experimenting with new versions, and ALWAYS save a drive image BEFORE updating a good-working system drive)

Don't look back.

PT 11 is like the same as buying a 2.4x more powerful computer in terms of the number of plugins and VIs you can use before topping out.

Huge improvement.

Unless you rely on gear that isn't supported in PT11 (Control24, HD core and accel cards) I can't think of any reason not to upgrade.

Better allocation of resources, large-address aware (can access >4 GB RAM), faster audiosuite processing, more metering options, offline bounce, improvements to the workspace, etc.

One reason to upgrade is because you might want to use an operating system that is not 2 generations old. Protools 10 is only certified to work up to Mountain Lion (10.8.x). It is not certified (has some uninstall problems) with Mavericks (OSX 10.9.x). It is not certified (can't install, can't uninstall, and has a bug with displaying drop down list of plugins in inserts and sends) with Yosemite (OSX 10.10.x). Avid has explicitly said that they will not fix Protools 10 to work with any OS newer than Mountain Lion…forever. So if you want to run a more recent OS or you buy a Mac that can't run an older OS, you'll need to upgrade to Protools 11 or 12.

I'm using PT10 and PT11 on 2 different machines. I still use 10 a lot because of the sheer number of VST plugins I have which are useless in PT11 unless they are fully 64-bit and can be imported into 11 using BlueCat Patchwork etc.
