Default Some WAVELAB help?

Hey cool peoples

I formatted my computer and got everything back installed without a hitch. I'm even recording and editing my DJ mix in XP.Its great. Now the problem.I Installed Wavelab and I bring my DJ mix into it like normal, set my markers like normal and attempt to record the mix at 1x like I normally do and wavelab will not record to the CD.I am trying to do this with Wavelab on my ME partition so it should be working the same.It starts the preperation and then within about 10 seconds it tells me "CD has been created succesfully" when it did not. My CD burner is working fine.

Is there something I need to checkmark that I don't know about.I reinstalled wavelab to no avail.Any help would be appreciated.

DJ

This may sound bleedingly obvious but when you go to write the CD make sure the 'operation' radio button is set to "WRITE".

On a fresh install of Wavelab it defaults to "Test writing of whole CD" which would explain your problem

Thanx Marcus

That didn't work unfortunately. Its still claiming that the "CD was successfully created" after only attempting to write for 10 seconds. The CD actually remains blank and unwritten. This is within my ME partition

On the XP partition a stranger thing happens. It attemts to write the CD and it actually starts writing at 100x and is done within 40 seconds.I try to listen to the CD and I get this screechy type sound and then my Windows media player freezes up.

My computer claims that the burner is working properly. What gives here? I have successfully burned about 6 DJ mixes with Wavelab before I formatted the computer without a hitch.I get it all back in(Wavelab)and now this bologna!Any help would be cool.

Maybe try downloading the latest update from the steinberg site (I think it's 4.0g) I also had a similar problem when I first bought wavelab and it turned out basically to be that my burner wasn't getting recognised correctly.

Cheers,
Marcus
