MIDI volumes in VI
003 r, PTLE8, macpro quad core, 16gb mem
I was just wondering, when i click a new note in say, Goliath or xpand2! and set the velocity to max 127, why is it when i click and drag the note up and down the keyboard to say, here different snare drums in the patch, that the note is a lot louder than a maxed out vel=127 note? It's obnoxious because i have to turn the volume up to hear a loop but have to turn the volume knob down if i'm clicking and dragging the note. any ideas? |

Re: MIDI volumes in VI
The default midi level is 96 for the reason u stated(being to loud) so I believe when u mess with the velocity or whatnot that it bumps the midi volume up to 127 instead of 96...

Re: MIDI volumes in VI
That might be the case but even if my notes are written/sequenced to 127, they're still louder if i click and drag them around.
