Default Exporting mono tacks

Quick question - weird one unless it's too early in the morning for me...

I recorded a small session a few days ago - a pair and a few spots - and I'm exporting the files for the producer to edit in Logic.

For some bizarre reason, I can't export (shift/command/K) my pair as individual mono files. My tracks are called Pair L, Pair R, and I recorded on two mono tracks. If I select one file (so either Pair L, or Pair R) and press shift/command/K I don't get and export file pop-up - nothing happens. All the other mono tracks export fine. If I group my Pair L and R, select them and press shift/command/K it will export them as a stereo file only, despite them being on two mono tracks.

What's going on?! OSX 10.15.7 and Pro Tools 2021.6 on a 2019 16" macbook pro.

EDIT - in the clip list it's created a stereo file for the two MONO "Pair" tracks... How odd. Presumably a feature?! I mean, if I wanted a stereo file I'd record them as stereo files, so no thank you Avid. To export them as mono files I have to "expand" the stereo clip in the clip list.. Real handy.

Do a quick Consolidate on the mono clips (and eventually rename), this should solve it.

Logic supports interleaved stereo files, and makes it trivially easy to separate them if needed. So why not send him a stereo file of the pair?

try renaming the clips Pair.L + Pair.R (rather than Pair L + Pair R) please note the dots rather than spaces
this clip suffix naming convention is how PT gangs them together as a stereo pair in the clip bin.

In addition to above, if the files are really mono, exporting as dual mono will export mono files properly
