Default What is the future of OMS?

Why is it so difficult to build a driver in the PT software that could just simply communicate with a MIDI interface I/O without OMS?

I agree - Logic has drivers to directly address MTU MTPII and other midi interfaces - strait out.

OMS has been abandoned by those who could do so. It "ratnests" our computers and thinking process as to what goes where, what is routed to what and what program is running to make that route.

Seems that alot of folks who use it still do so more out of need rather than desire.
