Default Cue points in Pro Tools bounce to MP3?

Hi there,

Currently I'm working on a project for a software-developper. He asked me whether I was able to put cue-points into my mp3's. The project is a language cd-rom where the developper wants to put some kind of markers into the mp3's included in the cd-rom. He says he's able to do this in Soundforge or Adobe Audition. Is this possible in Pro Tools? I believe he wants to be able to make links to parts of the mp3's.

Thank you for any response

hans

what kind of links is he trying to make to the mp3? if just locators (e.g., "track" 1, 2, etc.) that's something you could do in toast (or whatever cd-burning application you use).

i did something this for a 60 minute cd of a worship service. if you just play the cd, it plays as one continuous "song" so to speak, but there are over 30 "markers" (with a printed index for the user) so if you want to go to a particular part of the liturgy or a particular song, you can get there that way.

i basically took the live 2-track audio, imported to pro tools, inserted pointers througout the 1 long stereo track, selected from pointer to pointer and bounced them as individual aifs. in toast, i brought all the aifs in with 0 seconds between sections and burned the cd.

hope that helps,
steve
