Unhappy DAE 9073 with no Logic

Hey Folks.
A long time I didn´t need help because Pro Tools was running.
But as of today I´m really pissed. There is no logic in this.
So here´s the story:

Since October 2010 I work on a Mac Pro "Westmere" 8-Core 2,4 GHz with 6 GB of RAM, 2 internal drives, one for the system, one for audio data.
OS: Snowleopard 10.6.4

I ran Pro Tools 8 LE on a 002Rack and Command 8 with no problems.

Today I got my HD native with an HD Omni.

Installed the hardware, updated the firmware, installed PT 9, updated to 9.0.5 and ran the exact same session, that went well yesterday on PT 8.
And now with PT HD native 9 I get this DAE 9073 all the time.
This makes no sense, doesn´t it?
The Demo Session runs well, but half of my own existing sessions bring up the DAE Error, even the ones with a small track count (less than 20 tracks).
So what gives?

I tried the usual things:
- Repair disc permissions
- Disabled Spotlight

What am I missing?

Greetings from Germany
Markus

Exclamation Re: DAE 9073 with no Logic

So here are the news.

Just did a fresh install of Snowleo and updated to 10.6.8.
Installed PT 9.0.5

The same DAE errors...

BUT...
just for fun, I tried running the session of another partition of the same HD, where the OS is installed and... it works.
No DAE errors, everythings fine.

Now can someone tell me what this is?

AFAIC this shouldn´t work and is not supported by Avid.
What can I do, to run the sessions from another internal drive without DAE hassles?
Anyone?

Regards
Markus

That sounds like either a bad drive, an incorrectly or badly formatted drive or a loose connection.

I would back up all data on the drive having problems and erase it - Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Make sure it has a GUID partition scheme. Also make sure your drive is firmly seated - maybe even try putting the drive into a different slot.

Yeah I've had that problem on a particular HD3 system at a studio I use, and I think it turned out to the drives, or one of the drives.

Hi there,

News:
This problem is solved.
I tried another HD, a WD Caviar black.
With this I replaced the "old" audio HD, a WD Caviar green.
All the DAE errors are gone.
I´m still curious why the problems never occured with the old Version of PT LE 8 ...

Thanks for all hints.

Greetings
Markus
