Default Signal Output?

My Mbox mini is putting out speaker and headphone signals, but when I try to lay a track I'm not receiving a signal with either line or mic out. If I use my controller and use a software library sound, it shows a signal. My question is...is it my Mbox or is it a problem within my recording software? It's always worked before. Maybe a bad USB cable? Cant's be it's putting out sound.

Put the MIX knob at 12 o'clock and see what happens.

Did this work before? Anything changed?

If at 12 o'clock (or fully counterclockwise)... (the purpose there is to use the interface hardware monitoring which is independent of any DAW) you get no signal at all from any input then the interface is broken or the inputs device (mic/line in etc.) are not working. Make sure the Mic input gain is turned up and the pad is not engaged, and phantom power is turned on if the Microphone needs that. Try using a know good Mic, and known good line input, known good cables. Still does not work then you have a broken interface, repair is not justified so just toss it and buy something new.
