Default Massey L2007 vs. PSP Xenon?

I have the L2007 and the waves L stuff, but saw that PSP has a deal for one more day on the Xenon. Any opinions on this limiter/leveler compared to the Massey or Waves stuff? Personally, I love the L2007 and am hard pressed to look elsewhere. But I thought I would ask.

Thanks!
-Chris

Just look at the endorsements on PSP's site. I think they speak for themselves. Also SOS magazine gave it really high marks a couple of years back.

Hi,

I like it on non loud stuff! World music, Jazz etc, it sounds great and smooth, but not for the loud stuff in my opinion! Rock, Dance music etc, its not so friendly on the transients. Something like the L3-16 gives you more control to lessen the limiting or adjust the attack/release times around the frequencies where the energy of the kick and snare are prominent, which will enable more volume per less transient loss.

Just my opinion!!!

Chris

The Xenon is my go to "quick mastering" limiter. Well worth the price. Try the demo! Best...H
