Recording a choir and pipe organ

I was asked to record a 4 part choir and a pipe organ. I'm really new to this recording stuff. Could some one give some advice on gear I will need and how to approach the job please.

I've got

PT 24 Mix plus NT
2x 882 /20
Focusrite Voicebox mkII
1 x TLA Ivory PA 5001
Neuman TLM103
5 x Shure SM58
2x Shure SM57
AKG drum pack

sounds like your doing some recording in a curch.

Put a pair of hi quality powered condensor mics (into matched pres) in a X/Y or spaced pair in the middle of the church, Put the choir half way between the mics and the organ.

You need to make sure you have a good balance between organ choir and room sound.

Move the mices and performers as needed.

Put the TLM close to the choir and a 58 infront of each singer. If you have 4 part harmony you will have to treat the bass with care.

Stress a good performance watch the cutoffs and dynamics, If the perforance is really good you can use the room condensor mikes as a major part of the mix. But becarefull that hiss isn't all over the recording with the room mics.

Hope some other CUS can jump in here.

Use your ears the acousic space of the church and the volume of the organ can make all my tips worthless
