Imaging and Waves Ren Comp ??

Hi there,

I have been trying to LISTEN a lot lately

One thing I have noticed is when the Waves Ren Comp is selected and activated on the master bus, if I use say the Mastering Opto preset,
the imaging becomes less spacious !

I also notice that the sound loses the top end
*sparkle*.. it actually sounds like a filter !!

Is this normal ???

I want to use this compressor... but it really destroys the clarity of the mix.

Am i doing something wrong ??

Does anyone else have this problem ??

You tell that the comp destroys the clarity of your mix. So why do you want to use it???

Try C4, L1, Maxim or Master X. Should get better results with these. Good luck.
