Default Advice for mixing vocals

I am new to recording vocals, i barely did a song wit just 16 bars just so i can get some feedback on my mixing part. I have been learning bit by bit through trial and error. All i have touched was a little on the EQ, Compression and the Reverb... Can somebody please give me feedback on what they hear on this song and what i can possible do to get the vocals to mix better? I recorded them with an AT2020 condenser mic and have a booth thats treated.

The only negative I have is that the vocal is a bit buried. Pull the music back a tad, or push the vocal forward. Assuming you have a single compressor(which one?) on the vocal track, you can stack another compressor plugin(so each doesn't need to work as hard) and get a bit more volume(relative to the music). Russ at Pro-Tools-Expert.com also has a great video tutorial on how to use distortion to make a vocal "pop"(I tried it and it absolutely can work wonders). Toss him a paypal donation and take advantage of the tons of helpful videos that site offers!
