Agreed! Insane. They seem to be a terrible company when it comes to communicating with their customer base. With the exception of trying to sell you more stuff that they will tell you nothing about.

So I navigated the same maze you did and finally was able to send Plugin Alliance a question. Here's the response I received (which was not much!). I asked them the same question you were wondering, but, as you see, they would not commit to even working on it. I'm working on replacing all of my Plugin Alliance plugins w/ UAD and Waves. Fortunately, I only have a few:

Please run Pro Tools in Rosetta mode to make the missing plugins show up in PT.

His reply doesn't show my initial question to them but I said that I know I can run the plugins under Rosetta, but would like to know Plugin Alliance's timeline for making the Brainworx plugins fully M1 compatible (AAX)....And that's the reply I received. The real moronic thing is that some of them do run on Apple Silicon AAX so Lobo has no idea what he's talking about.

It's a good point. What I want to ask them is how they decide which plugins will be updated/recoded for M1 AAX and when. For example, are they tapping their foot waiting for Brainworx to update the SSL 9000 to AAX or do they have some say?

Plugin Alliance has different developers. The actual "Plugin Alliance" hasn't gotten it together so all the brainworx, etc aren't done.
But the ones that have shown up as AAX ARM native are from outside developers. That's the difference and why.

When I started this season of television series that I mix, 10 in total, I was planning on buying the PA subscription. Glad I held off. That will never happen. They are far to unreliable. Waves as an example is the exact opposite. Superior in every way.

The PA's Brainworx plugins and not being update, remember their entire facility flooded like 18 months ago. Maybe it was 2 years.

Either way, with a massive wipe out of their facility, gear, computers etc, they get a pass.
Just rebuilding a comparable studio, dealing with insurance to start, is a long process.
I know we'd all expect them to rebuild from day one, but it just doesn't work that way.

I wouldn't exactly call Waves Superior in every way. You know Brainworx flooded and they lost everything right?
It isn't like they can rebuild it in a week.
