Pro Tools lock-up

Hello,

I've been using the Digi 001 for about a year now and I always experience random lock-up's while I'm using it. When it locks up, I'm able to hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and save my session before I "end task" and reboot, but nothing else will work and my mouse completely locks up as well. I am running PT LE on a Windows 98-SE machine with 512 MHz of RAM. At first, I thought the problem was my mouse, but I've tried several and I still have the same problem. This is one of the only real problems I have with the program, but it is very frustrating. Can someone please give me some guidance on how to possibly fix this problem? Have any of you had this same problem?

-How are the resources in your system allocated?

-What resource has Windows assigned the Digi001?

-Is anything else sharing with the Digi001 device?

In the meantime, disable all startup items:
1) Start Menu > Run > Type in: msconfig > OK > System Configuration Utility Menu appears > Startup Tab.
2) Disable startup items that do NOT have C:Windows in explanation.
3) Do NOT disable: Scan Registry, System Tray, and Load Power Profile (both).
4) Disable all other items that might appear.
