Default Random pop sound interference while recording.

The popping sound is not subtle and registers even in the first link of the recording chain, the external compressor. I'm running quite a few things out of the wall socket, could power flucuations causing his. I do live in aa very old building, any suggestions?

The original question was asked in May of last year, so maybe it's been solved by now.

It does sound like it could have been power issues and/or interference. One way to find out would be to try a power supply/UPS that would condition your power, or maybe even just a different building and/or power connection setup. Is this happening with just the analog I/O? There are a number of items in the Answerbase regarding digital inputs when doing a search for the words:
clicks and pops
