bump ... no one else sees this issue .. i know i am not alone ...

lets get this fixed ... please help me not let this issue go unresolved ...

"Whether you work in post and need to fit audio to video clips, or produce music and want to tune a performance or sync up loops, X-Form provides seamlessly integrated professional time stretching and pitch shifting within Pro Tools."

Did we know that it was slow as molasses before it was released ... why not say that it takes Longer to process using X-form ... i cannot honestly believe that engineers at Digi did not know this was happening ...

You could put it in the description of the product ... oh wait, you cannot do that because no one would buy it ... this business is about being efficient and speedy ...

unfortunately we will have to start looking elsewhere for solutions to our audio challenges if this keeps happening ... this is not a threat, it is an observation ... :)

Digi, how can we help you help us Not to be frustrated ... X-form isn't crashing, it is just to slow .. i am on an 8 core mac as you can see in my Sig.

thank you for listening to my frustration .... \

cheers

john

Yes. X-Form is unacceptably slow.

today I pitched a 3min audio region, serato pitch´n time needed 10 sec. to do this in an acceptable quality, x-form needed about 300 sec. and the quality wasn´t 30 times better (though it was better)

if digi could reduce the factor from 30 to 5 - then I would be contented

From the G5 to the Nehalem, EA analyzes WAY faster. I used to have a few minutes between consolidating and then turning on EA for, let's say, 15 drum tracks. Now, on the Nehalem, it's pretty quick.

But X-Form is still pretty darn slow. Is there a potential for multi-core processing EVER in PT? I can go to lunch and come back and it's STILL X-Forming.

Now I mostly render Rhythmic for drums, Poly for Rooms/Overs/Cymbals, and reserve X-Form for things like acoustics, banjo, mandolins, etc. And it does sound good. But man, it's slower than slow!
