Hello Avid Team, thanks for the Update!
I am waiting for a long time for this Bug to get fixed:
PT-296195 Pre-Record Audio plays ahead of Arrangement when doing Punch-Ins on Tracks with Plugins (non HDX System).
Can you let me know if this is still logged and will be fixed soon? Or do i need to open a new Ticket?

Hey Marianna, hey Avid,
is there a reason for these longer PT starting times?
I was so happy to see that PT native loads faster. but this is a little bit disappointing. Will this be getting better in the future or does every update brings longer loading times?

How many times you tested? First launch after updating PT and/or plugins will rebuild plugin cache.

Anyone running 2023.9 successfully on Mojave? I tried it today and it hangs on either HEAT plugin or Avid Sketch plugin.... all plugins removed, so only avid plugins and preferences trashed.

Q: how much to upgrade from perpetual pro tools 11 bundle to perpetual, Studio?

A: if you have Pro Tools 9, 10, or 11 with an expired plan you would need to purchase a Perpetual Upgrade from your Avid Reseller and redeem the upgrade code at Avid.com/redemption. You are prompted to create an Avid Account before upgrading their expired license. You need to check with the reseller for pricing on this.

Q: any discount for existing PT Studio subscribers who have been on yearly subscriptions paying $299/year, ?

A: If asking about promotions for PT Subs then not at this time but we usually do throughout the year. There is no upgrade path for subscribers to move to perpetual ... you would need to let the subscription expire and then purchase a new perpetual.

Charles will be back on Monday and I will ask him to clarify and expand on my answers if need.

I started PT many times after updating. The tests are the last ones.

I tried it and it did the same thing on my studio MacPro,s. It is not supported on Mojave and I do not think it works. I have a 2017 MBP and it works on it with Big Sur.

Hmm, installed the update today, and can't do simple drag and drop from the bin to tracks. Waveform shows when dragging, but disappears on release. I'm sure it's something very simple, but I'm at a loss. Major bug, or user error?

This usually happens if the track width isn't the same as the file width.
You should be able to drag from the clips bin into the space below the tracks and a track of the same width should automatically be created.

As a side note, you won't be able to drop files in from Windows Explorer if opening PT with Run as Administer enabled.
Not running as Admin allows you to drag directly from Explorer.
