Default Yamaha DM1000?

Any users out there that would like to chime in. I am looking for some advice on this unit. It is realy tempting given the pre's and the routing, Lots of on board dynamics and FX, Card expansion for more I/O and on and on. I am(Dont Laugh to hard) running a 001 system but I am looking to upgrade to HD soon. I have no close places to me to demo this unit but it reads good spec wise.

Just looking for some feedback, This seams to be about the best solution for now and then (LE to HD ) that I can find. It is a little more than I was looking to spend but it could be worth it in the long run.

I don't think you will go wrong with the DM 1000. I use the DM 2000 every day in one of our 2 studios and now plan to get a DM 1000 for the other! I also designed a FOH system for our church with the DM 1000. Although a direct comparison to the studio environment would be futile, It seems to work very much the same.
The EQ, dynamics and effects may not be quite as useful as outboard gear or even high end TDM plugs, they are very respectable.
Let us know what you do.
Marc

Thanks Marc,

I will let you know soon. I am almost convinced to go with the DM1000. Let me ask you this. Do you think I could get by without the meter bridge for a while? If I added a third monitor just for the dm1000 software could I not monitor the levels from the screen?
