Default When will Sonoma be supported on PT?

Hi,

Do any Avid staff members / members of this thread know when Sonoma will be supported with Pro Tools? I regrettably upgraded from Ventura to Sonoma and now I'm having issues

I'm tempted to downgrade back to Ventura unless if a new update is around the corner.

Nobody has a crystal ball on this one, sorry. It’s ready when it’s ready.
Not in a big hurry to “upgrade” a perfectly working configuration, personally.

Whatever happens, they only qualify new macOS versions when they release a new Pro Tools version (with the one exception being the one massive emergency Apple security fix that happened last year.))
Seeing as we just got a new version (2023.9), the earliest I'd expect a new version is at the very end of the year (Dec 31)

This time there is no chance I will be upgrading anytime soon to Sonoma ... It was quite a big mess the Silicon thing compatibility etc and Ventura is very VERY stable

Ventura is indeed very stable. I upgraded to Sonoma, because I do not have a project going on right now, and I have noticed bugs and instabilities here and there. So my advice is do not upgrade yet unless you must.

What kinds of bugs are you seeing? I have PT on a MacMini that's not a production machine (and not tested thoroughly) but I've not come across any problems so far. It has Sonoma but a later beta, not the current 14.0, so maybe Apple has already remedied some things?

What do you mean with "setting visible"?

Apropros of nothing, I think it's long past time for Apple to retire the annual 'big' new OS release. Each year it seems to get thinner, and qualifying every single year is a huge PITA for every software developer.

Time was when a new OS meant big new things, but it's only refinements now. They can do feature releases every other year that don't constantly upset the Apple cart (if you will).
