Message for Brad lyons 002 vs 888
Hi Brad,
Did you ever compare the 002 with 888/24 ? If so - any chance on sharing your view? Cheers. Im debating whether or not to keep my 002 as it does'nt sit too well with logic + i not sure if its a major improvement over the 001's a/ds as was posted by other users. I use to own a 001 then jumped ship to a motu 896 with logic when lap.5 came out but im now back with a 002 & pt again with the hope of using logic to genrate most of the sounds from the exs & soft synths but i dont think that that the sound of the 002 compares to the motu 896 . Anyhow i would love to know your view on all of this & also if you ever did the test between the 002 vs 888. Cheers. |

Re: Message for Brad lyons 002 vs 888
No, not yet.... trying to do too many things at once. I do suspect the 888 will still sound better for several reasons. Honestly it won't be a fair comparision as we're comparing a host-based mixing engine v/s a DSP-based mixing engine. But it would still be nice to know how much of a difference between a basic 888/24 MIX setup v/s the basic Digi002 setup. But then again, get a PSX100 as your A/D and D/A and it won't matter.
