Default DELL D820

I did a search looking for any information on this but couldn't find specifics.

I just got a Dell D820 (e6300 1.83mhz Core 2 duo - 2 Gig ram) and there is a built in 4 pin firewire connection. Now, I know that some people have had problems with other dell models and firewire..so I got a PCMCIA dual firewire card. As far as I can tell i nthe compatibility page, Digi is testing PCMCIA solutions but have none yet.....but I have read through other posts that say that the PCMCIA card is the way to go. So, can anybody chime in about their Dell D820 setup....anybody out there using this paticular Laptop and working? thanks for any replies in advance...
