El Capitan 10.11.2 causes Pro Tools 12.4 GUI Lag and Glitches

I had similar graphic issues with my test drive with 10.11.1
However,this GUI problem appeared also in Presonus Studio one v3 and in Logic X...
So,i assume this has to do with graphics drivers (kexts) within El Capitan and not Pro tools incompatibility ....

Yes indeed. I thought the issue was initially my iMac 5k. Luckily not.

Same problem here in PT12.4. LogicX is workking alright though. Pretty hooked to the new Magic Trackpad, so I can't go back to Yosemite. Will have to wait and see how this issue plays out.

going okay with 12.4 here but there are other OS issues like boot camp taking a year to boot up. The 'midi notation editing while in play' bug seems better but not totally.

This issue although slightly different has been around since Yosemite and pt 11 for many users. I am running pt 11 in el cap and it actually got worse with the latest 10.11.2 and PT 11 is doing exactly what 12 is doing in the video posted above. It's hard to believe that they release ProTools 12 with this problem still happening, sure it might be on Apples end but how can they release software and say it is now compatible when it's got this major issue. This is been driving me nuts for over a year. I will now be updating to ProTools 12HD before the end of the year but to have to shell out the money and find out this freaking bug is still there is unbelievable. Everyone who has updated to ProTools 12 and has this issue definitely should call Avid support and report it.

I went back to 10.9.5 from El Captain. Pro Tools 12.4 running smoothly.

I can add to this, just tried to update a MacBook Pro only to get noise, pops and my AI crashing after stopping playback afew times. I've gone back to OSX Yos. El Capitan is a sunken ship as far as I'm concerned.

I'll give it 1-3 months before I try to update again.
